The Austrian Band Cousines like Shit just released their critically aclaimed debut LP named “AVANT TRASH”.
Through critical punchlines the Cousines Hannah and Laura Breitfuß proclaim their view on social phenomenons and the paradox of human beings. Tracks like „Barbie“, „Vivid Sassy“ or „Bachelorette“ provide the possibility of self reflexion, transmit the feeling of being caught or simply make you smile when acknowledging the comedic character of certain human behavioral patterns.
The title “AVANT TRASH” is a deliberate choice as it not only reflects the Cousines’ unique style, their text-focused approach and simple but catchy melodies, but it also reserves the avant-trash genre for themselves.
Live they perform with Lisa Maria Weinberger on bass and Lilian Mira Kaufmann on drums.
